new to photoshop, and you're completely clueless about how people get all those cool text effects?This is just a list of all of them. First you need to have the layer window open. Go to window->Layer.
At the bottom of of the window there will be a cursive "f" on the left corner (as seen in the image.) Click it and it should look like whats below.
